no snow

Today is Jan 14th and I have yet to see any snow this winter. I cannot remember any winter when there hasn't been snow by now, and I can't imagine going an entire winter without any measurable snow. I'm told by reliable sources that the lack of snow is more due to El Nino then to global warming, but there have been El Nino years before when there was some snow.
Then again, it's still kind of early, we can still have lots of snow later this month as well as February and March. I'm not the biggest fan of snow but it would be nice to see at least a little
this winter.

At least we saw some flurries today! Yea!

Btw, I recently read an article about scientists' thoughts on the connection between El Nino and global warming...it seems they are increasingly seeing evidence that the two are correlated (or at least the frequency of El Nino seasons). If you haven't yet seen An Inconvenient Truth, you should...the facts presented are astounding...even if someone doesn't believe in global warming (which I don't know how you couldn't) it will at least get you thinking.

there was something i forgot to add to my previous post...while I liked Al Gore's documentary, I don't look to him as THE authority on global warming. I was looking more at the science behind it and the fact that what he presented has been confirmed by reputable, non-political sources.

So, basically, I wasn't saying "You should believe Al Gore" --just that people should look at the facts overall about climate change and learn more about it.

Does that make sense?
